Stjerne’s story 2

“Hurry up girl, that laundry wont fold itself, will it now ?!” The overseer had caught Stjerne starring at the cats again. Oh she wished that soon the day would come where she and her gender could be free again, just like the cats. Stjerne sighed, and paused a moment longer, a moment too long apparently, cause she heard the swiss in the air, the unmistakably sound of the cane close to her.
“My most humble apologies Sir” she hurried to get back to the laundry. “It’s starting to rain soon, girl, move it, I don’t want to have to get wet just because you’re slow today.” The overseer paused before he added with a self-satisfied smirk, “Though I’m sure the cane will enjoy your wet back more than your dry one.”
Stjerne clenched her teeth, thankful for once that she’d not yet mastered the spells of lighting, or she might very well have been caught casting magic in the courtyard for all to see. Even if the lightning could have been blamed on the storm brewing just behind the castle walls, it just wasn’t something she could risk. She wasn’t strong enough yet, but soon she would be, soon she’d get free, and she might make sure to take a few of the overseers and guards with her.
